從技術角度看，突破1.3000的心理關口確認了脫離多周交易區間，開啟了通往新目標的道路。英鎊/美元很有可能很快達到1.3180區域及1.3200的整數關口。然而，需注意的是，日線圖上的振盪指標接近超買區域。因此，目前進入新的多頭倉位可能為時過早——最好等待鞏固或短期回調。
另一方面，1.3000水準現在作為關鍵支撐。如跌破此水平，將把偏向轉向空頭，促使該貨幣對回到先前的區間。最近的支撐位於1.3100整數關口附近，在進行整固或可能繼續其上升趨勢之前，該區或將被重訪，或至1.3056–1.3100區間。
