Costa Rica is marked by low criminality rates and corruption. Journalists are given the right to report virtually any information in the media.

Denmark is ranked 4th. The constitution grants all journalists utmost freedom of expression. There are no censorship and other preventive measures in Denmark.

The Netherlands are recognized the second best on the list. The authorities are unwilling to impose strict censorship, but encourage satire and freedom of personal expression. However, open hatred and discrimination are banned by the law.
